Laura Anderson
is an artist living and working in Scotland.
The focus of her work is mainly the psychological viewpoint of
the characters in her drawings and paintings, which sometimes
takes her into the areas of the subconscious and the unconscious.
The relationship between the
figures and their setting create a narrative where something is
either going on, or there is a tension which suggests that something
may be about to happen.
Although her current body
of work involves children, she sometimes extends her ideas to
portraits of adults, retaining the same sense of narrative. She
also has an interest in the natural world, which she often incorporates
into her work.
